Firearm

I) Cartridge

a) non-rifled:

1. outer case is made of (plastic / cardboard / brass) with brass base.

2. check percussion cap if intact = non-fired & loaded if depressed = fired & non-loaded.

  b ) rifled:

1. long or short.

2. check the base of cartridge if a groove is found = automatic, if not = manual.

3. check percussion cap if intact = non-fired & loaded if depressed = fired & non-loaded.

4. in case of it was non-fired & loaded write that jacket is made of (copper / nickel).

  

II) Missile

a) shots: either

كور نفس الحجم ولونها أسود

= machine-made.

or

ملهاش شكل وحجمها مختلف

= man-made.

b ) bullets:

1. long or short.

2. check the rifling marks if present = fired, if not = non-fired.

3. jacket is made of (copper / nickel).

  

III) Wad

external (رفيعة)
internal (تخينة)

comment

1. made of .......

2. thickness.

3. function.

4. MLI.

N.B: to differentiate between external wad & strychnos nox vomica seed

IV) Powder

Black powder or smokeless powder

comment

1. composed of ........

2. function.

3. residue reaction.

4. in case of smokeless powder write its form (cordite / scales / rods / amorphus).
